Finale week in Toronto was full of fun moments beginning with a fan event Big Brother Archive hosted which was attended by Big Brother Canada’s own Risha Denner and her sister Barbi who traveled all the way from British Columbia. On May 24th 2015, ten fans were invited to a VIP viewing party at the Yonge Street BRICK, downtown Toronto. These VIPs were the lucky winners of our Twitter contest and won invitations to watch that Sunday’s episode of Big Brother Canada from the replica “Head of Household” room. Snacks and swag were provided by The BRICK, including a pair of cozy pajamas for each attendee to take home.
Risha’s attendance was a surprise to the VIP fans as we didn’t announce she would be coming and the group filled the air with cheers and applause when she arrived. She warmly greeted the fans and answered some quick questions before the episode of Big Brother Canada began. Throughout the hour Risha gave the group insight into what it was like being in the house, especially spending a week without furniture, food or their personal belongings. The house guests had to sleep on the floor using toilet paper rolls as pillows and towels as blankets, it was very uncomfortable. After the episode Risha posed for a group photo and signed autographs. She was a fantastic celebrity guest and we were thrilled she and her sister Barbi could attend.
